One of my favorite pieces, the Goliath Grouper was crafted from antique tools as a tribute to one of the sea’s most impressive creatures. I started in the middle without a clear sense of just how large it would become. As the sculpture grew, so did my appreciation for its scale. Weighing over 50 pounds and often requiring two people to move, the finished piece is a fitting representation of the ocean’s gentle giant.
